Bible Review: Christ Is the Center and Heart of the Bible

The Old Testament is an account of a nation. The New Testament is an account of a MAN. The nation was founded and nurtured of God to bring the Man into the world. God Himself became a man, to give mankind a concrete, definite, tangible idea of what kind of person to think of when we think of God. God is like Jesus. Jesus was God incarnate in human form. His appearance on the earth is the central event of all history. The Old Testament sets the stage for it. The New Testament describes it. As a man, He lived the most strangely beautiful life ever known. He was the kindest, tenderest, gentlest, most patient, most sympathetic man that ever…

Earth shape

Isaiah 40:22 “[It is] he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:” Isaiah 22:18 “He will surely violently turn and toss thee [like] a ball into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory [shall be] the shame of thy lord’s house.” The Bible says that a circle is not a ball, or these two verses would have been equivalent and used the same word. The KJV uses precise language to teach concepts, and to help the student rightly divide the truth ( 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to…

The consequences of adding or taking away from the Bible

“Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” —Deuteronomy 4:2 KJV “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” —Revelation 22:18-19 KJV

NASV says we are to confess our “sins” to each other intead of “faults” in James 5.16

From By David J. Stewart | January 2016 […] The following PERversion is terrible, teaching Roman Catholic dogma. The King James Bible says to confess our “faults” one to another, like being late, inconsiderate or being impatient. It doesn’t mean to tell a brother that you just thought about having sex with his wife. The NASB (as do all new corrupted versions) teaches people to confess their “sins” to each other, which is very unbiblical. … KING JAMES BIBLE — James 5:16, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” NEW AMERICAN STANDARD VERSION — James 5:16, “Therefore, confess your sins…

Why not to get upset when learning about Modern Version deception

2PE.1-3 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. There is not a Modern Bible Version that does not deny the Lord in one form or another. But the Bible itself speaks of the fate of the creators of these MBVs.

Luke 4: Removing the Word of God, Satan and deliverance

The modern versions change this verse: “4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” to “4 And Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.”” Removing “by every word of God.” How appropriate that words of God are omitted in the new versions. And “Satan” is removed from the object of speech in Luke 4.8: “Get thee behind me, Satan,” meaning it’s not Satan tempting Jesus, it’s just Jesus saying an aphorism. And the modern version remove “deliverance” completely. In Luke 4.17, the book is “handed” to Jesus instead of delivered. In the following verse “preach deliverance to the captives”…
