The modern versions change this verse: “4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” to “4 And Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.”” Removing “by every word of God.”

How appropriate that words of God are omitted in the new versions.
And “Satan” is removed from the object of speech in Luke 4.8:

“Get thee behind me, Satan,” meaning it’s not Satan tempting Jesus, it’s just Jesus saying an aphorism.
And the modern version remove “deliverance” completely. In Luke 4.17, the book is “handed” to Jesus instead of delivered. In the following verse “preach deliverance to the captives” becomes either “proclaim” 1) “liberty”, 2) “release”, or “good news”. It removes entirely the aspect of unclean spirits.
